Welcome to Ryecroft Meadow
An enriching 4-acre field located in Wrexham for your dog to play, run, learn and for you to strengthen
your bond with your dog and finally... relax.
Ryecroft Meadow 4-acre field is in the beautiful countryside location of Gresford in Wrexham, close to the England-Wales border of Cheshire. Our field is available all year round for exclusive hire and we also run sessions for dogs to socialise, learn and play with other dogs.
The field is perfect to work on your dog's training, for deaf or nervous dogs and for you to feel relaxed whilst letting your dog off-lead.
Why use Ryecroft?
Our 4-acre field offers you & your dog plenty of room to walk, practice training and most importantly RUN! Amenities have been placed with this in mind - to maximise the open running space.
Stock wire fencing covers the entire perimeter of the field, with a hedge line covering over three quarters behind. We carry out regular fencing checks & are routinely improving the fencing.
Mental stimulation is crucial for our dog's wellbeing. Here at Ryecroft, we have play tyres, a sandpit and a box with an assortment of dog toys. With lots more enrichment on its way!
Here at Ryecroft, we have an onsite hardstanding parking area on the farmyard, which is included in your booking. This is only a 30-second walk from the field!
We run play sessions for small, medium and large dogs. This means your dog can meet other friendly dogs and play in an enclosed and controlled environment. We keep the groups small for safety and to not overwhelm any dog.
You can book an exclusive hire, meaning you have the full 4 acres to yourself, with no other dogs in the field. We offer both family hire (dogs from one family) or group hire (friends dogs).
What Happens When I arrive?
Follow the signs 'Ryecroft Meadow' until you reach the field parking signs (Please download the directions document here). The field is self-service so please ensure you do not exit your vehicle if someone else is parked between the orange cones. Once your time starts you can head over to the field and let yourself in, ensuring you close the gates behind you (do not enter if someone else is there!). We currently do not offer water on site so please be sure to bring some along; there are water bowls available, poo bags and a poo bin.

Absolutely amazing place.
I took Chad without worrying he'd run off and I could train him to walk by me, letting him run free.
It was so relaxing and amazing.
Be back again!
Paul with Daisy Petal
We were lucky enough to visit you with our little Jack Russell Daisy Petal and had a lovely time. Your meadow is a lovely large space, clean and open, yet very secure and well maintained. It was really easy to find, and well signposted. Men were working with a digger nearby but they kindly stopped work to let us pass, and as they were so calm and kind when she arrived as a nervous strung out barking mess, Daisy P did not worry about passing them in the slightest to get back to the car… well that and the fact that she had just run her little legs off carefree and at ease on the biggest and best adventure of her life so far!!
We would definitely like to visit again! 5*
